Parks and Recreation Facility Update

Stage 2 – June 10, 2021

  • Outdoor social gatherings up to 20 people (with social distancing)
  • Youth and adult sports, both indorr and outdoor, may resume
  • Communiplex halls and meeting rooms, and spectators for sporting events, allowed at 30% capacity
  • Communiplex pool will re-open as of June 14th with regularly scheduled programming to a maximum of 1/3 capacity
  • Communiplex gym will re-open as of June 14th for solo workouts – must maintain 3 metres distancing – to a maximum of 1/3 capacity
  • Peace Memorial Multiplex will re-open to the public as of June 14th including walking track use (no booking necessary)
  • Masks must be worn while inside recreation facilities, but not during activities

Wainwright also maintains outdoor soccer fields, baseball diamonds, tennis courts, and an extensive and ever expanding network of walking trails. We are proud of our cultural activities that include amateur theater, professional performances, a dance society, and a local museum.
