To ensure all events have the proper comprehensive general liability insurance coverage in place, the Town of Wainwright will require a Certificate of Insurance to be provided before each event that takes place on Town property.

In efforts to minimize the time and costs involved in getting the proper insurance in place, the Town of Wainwright has partnered with Alberta Municipalities to help streamline this process for individuals and organizations.  Before your event, please visit Alberta Municipalities online platform, Instant Risk Coverage, at https://abmunis.instantriskcoverage.com/login to obtain a Certificate of Insurance, which is designed to meet our requirements.  The cost for this insurance is based specifically on the scope of your event and can be paid for directly on the website.  Once obtained, the Certificate of Insurance will be emailed directly to the Town so we will have a record of it.

If you do not wish to obtain your event insurance through the Instant Risk Coverage platform, you are welcome to use your own provider, but note that we will require the following:

A Certificate of Insurance for a comprehensive general liability insurance policy in the amount of at least $2,000,000* naming the Town of Wainwright as an additionally named insured, with a waiver of subrogation evidenced on the certificate, and that a copy of the policy be provided to the Town prior to the event.

 *Please note that depending on the type of event, such as parades or any events where alcohol is served, an insurance policy in the amount of at least $5,000,000 will be requested.
